FSC involvement
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) was initiated in 1993 following the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This non-government, non-profit organisation campaigns for the ecologically and socially responsible use of the Earth’s forests.
The FSC is supported by environmental groups, trade unions, local community representatives and numerous companies from the forestry and timber industry around the world. We support the FSC organisation and its efforts to protect our planet’s forests from being destroyed whilst ensuring that they are used in an environmentally-compatible and conservational manner.
Following a comprehensive audit process, we were certified by the FSC. Our certification number is SGS-COC-0676. We are increasing the number of FSC-certified products in our product range. The items and quantities currently depend on the availability of certified wood in the countries of origin. Our long-term aim is to sell only certified products.
